Prescription drugs are the most commonly abused drugs and they hold second position in this trend. According to The National Institutes of Health (NIH) approximately 20 percent of United States people use prescription drugs for non-medical reasons.

This type of drug abuse is increasing year by year because of the availability of drugs. Online pharmacy is an easiest way to get the prescription drugs without a prescription, even for minors.

To overcome this problem, the National Drug Control Policy and federal partner agencies launched many prescription drug monitoring programs which will educate healthcare providers and patients regarding danger of abusing prescription drugs. This may play a significant role to stop these problems.
