Czech automobile car makers Skoda are introducing their new innovative model ‘Laura RS’ in to the Indian auto market in September 2011. The company will launch Laura RS with the RS body kits, and powered with the 200bhp, 2.0L TSI engine and 170bhp, 2.0L TDI engine. It comes with two variants one is 2.0L TSI petrol 200PS and second 2.0L TDI diesel with 170PS. The engine may be mated to a 5-speed manual and 6-speed automatic direct shift gearbox.

Skoda’s decision to make a safe and less powered engine is taken considering the hike in fuel prices and trying to reduce the running costs of the users. The Skoda’s, Laura RS comes with the additional features like 18” Neptune light alloy wheels, airbags (front – 2), parking sensors, rear seat belts, ESP, ABS, EBD, fog lamps, etc. It has a sporty exterior revealing the high-performance.

The Laura RS is available in the market at Rs.11.99 lakh to Rs.18.21 lakh in Delhi. According to the source of Auto Sr. Reporter, the variants are available with a choice of three engines 1.8L TSI petrol, 1.9L TDI PD and 2.0L TDI PD that generate the speeds of 160bhp, 110bhp and 140bhp respectively.
