Because of the recession the workers in the all industries including automobile industry lost their jobs. But now, the auto industry has regained its lost charm and is ready to hire again. Several automakers announced that they are ready to hire the professionals for various operations, as the sales of the cars are found to be increased in the year 2010. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics reports, jobs in the auto making industry fell from 1.1 million in 1999 to 561,900 in November, 2010.

The U.S companies which have started hiring are:

  • Ford is planning to add 1,000 jobs for its Michigan plant, as new plants are set to open to make battery packs and other parts for hybrid and electric cars.
  • Toyota is hiring 850 employees for its San Antonio plant as a second shift returns and they are preparing for a new Tacoma pickup.
  • Volkswagen (VW) is found examining a flood of applications for 1,700 jobs at the plant, being built up at Chattanooga, Tenn., to make a replacement for the Passat.
  • Kia, the south korean auto maker is doubling jobs at its plant in West Point, Ga., which has just started making Sorento crossovers.

Along with the the above said automakers the others like Chrysler, Toyota, Chevrolet. etc., are also looking for the potential talents who fulfill their requirements, they have to increase the production with the increasing demand for the vehicles.
