Indian Auto industry is growing in faster way in the world. There are 11 million two and four wheeled vehicles that are manufactured by the Indian auto industry. There are nearly 1.5 million exports from Indian auto industry.

FD FanCountry became the world’s second largest manufacturer with the sales of above 8.5 million in 2009. Earlier it ranked seventh in world. There is an estimation that the annual sales may increase up to the 5 million vehicles by 2015. It would be 9 million vehicles as per the domestic demand by 2020, according to the SIAM.

There is an estimation that this growth story would continue by 2050. So India would be the leading country in the world in terms of car volumes at nearly 611 million vehicles, which would be on the road.

Initiation of the liberalization process in 1991, led this growth in country. The continuous growth caused with the result of the reduction in restrictions and increased competitiveness among companies.
