According to National Center on Addiction survey reports, drugs and gangs are common problems at public schools in the United States. 27 percent of the students who are aged 12 to 17 use the drugs, and gangs sell the drugs on school grounds.

According to the teen survey of the National Center on Addiction and Substance Abuse at Columbia University, 46 percent of the teens who are gangs in public schools use and sell drugs in school grounds of the schools.

There are five times chances of smoking marijuana and three times of drinking alcohol, twelve times chances of smoking tobacco, on comparing with teens who go to drug and gang free schools and teens who go to schools which have drugs and gangs. There are chances to access Marijuana within one hour, five times to access to the illegal drugs with in one day.

So, according to this survey report, there is high chance of abusing drugs among teens in schools United States.
