The 2010 Geneva Motor Show opened to the public on 4th March 2010. Hybrid and performance cars always stole the show at Geneva. But this time apart from the hybrid and performance cars, the new trend is of going ‘green’.

Battery or electric cars became popular and are regularly coming in headlines in these days due to their huge exposure at auto shows. They are the focus at Geneva Motor Show also. Almost all major carmakers introduced new environment friendly models. Whether it is Porsche or Peugeot. The show’s star, the Porsche 918 Spyder, can travel up to 16 miles before switching over to gas transmission.

Peugeot’s iOn with lithium batteries will travel up to 80 miles before switching to the other mode.

Honda’s 3R-C with three wheels is totally an electric car (we better call it a scooter like model).

There are many other reputed brands that went on to introduce the eco-friendly cars such as Ferrari’s 599 Hybrid, Hyundai’s I-flow, Lexus CT 200h, Lotus 414 E Hybrid, Mercedes-Benz F800 Style, Opel Flextreme GT/E, Porsche GT3-R Hybrid, Rinspeed UC, Valmet Eva etc.
