According to the survey of Mobile Marketing Association, mobile marketing budget will increase above 124% from 2010 to 2011.

Even the survey indicates, digital marketing budgets rose from 30% to 32.3% but the television spending will be much less when compared to mobile marketing and it increased around 0.6%.

When we take the case of digital marketing, apart from television and online marketing contribution, the major contribution for the percentage growth is due to mobile marketing. Similar to the online and television percentage growth the other category which is projected to expand is event and trade shows marketing procedure. And the percentage increment of the budget will be from 8.4% to 9.7%. While the marketing done through outdoor and the newspapers has a huge drop in the percentage of the budgets and they are dropped by 25.8% when we take the case of outdoor and the newspapers marketing budget drop is 25.5 % and same is the case with the Direct mail (to drop 17.5%) .

16.5% drop is observed in the spending of retail display and point of purchase. Even the budgets of radio and magazines are also projected to drop for the next year i.e., in 2011.

In 2010, more than $2.3 billions is spent on mobile marketing according to the survey and according to the projections made by the survey, $5.5 billions are planning to spend next year(2011).
