Tiger Woods defeated Stewart Cink 8 and 7 in the final of the Accenture World Match Play Championship held in Tucson to grab his sixth straight win.

According to The Sun, Woods had won eight of the nine tournaments that he had played in since last year’s Open and was runner-up in the one tournament.

“He’s simply the best that has ever played. I would agree with Tiger that he’s playing better now than he was when he won all four Majors in succession in 2000-2001,” he added.

Woods’ win in Arizona provided him his 63rd US Tour title, uplifting him above Arnold Palmer to fourth on the champion list. He now requires only 20 more to push Sam Snead out off top position.

He is also moderate towards exceeding Byron Nelson’s amazing record of 11 straight wins, set in 1945 when the competition was less compared to as strong as it is now. His latest win has acquired him a cool 3.35 million pounds.
