Green hybrid machine 911 GT3 R race car is the new model of Porsche in Geneva 2010 car show. It is a modified version of earlier launched Porsche 911 GT3 RSR.

911 GT3 R is equipped with 480-bhp-4 liter engine, which is used to power the rear axle of car. Two more electric motors are also induced for front axle.

A new technology similar to F1-style Kinetic Energy Recovery System (KERS) with an electric flywheel power generator is introduced in this car. With this feature whenever driver applies a brake, the two electric front axle motors act as generators and the flywheel generator stores energy from braking. Then driver can use stored power from flywheel generator to burst on road up to 6 to 8 seconds. This will majorly help to exit from a corner or to pass another car.

This machine was developed as a test bed under the banner of “Porsche Intelligent Performance”. With this entire feature this car will be a source of innovation in passenger cars development.
